Styled Shoot April 2018

Hello everyone!!

It has been awhile since I did a blog...and when I say awhile I mean like three years! I have decided to start doing it again, I have so many fun weddings and events I want to be able to share in detail so this is the best way!

First up is this super fun styled shoot I did back in April. I worked with my all time favorite girl Candice, from Candice Luth Wedding and Event Design . We spent almost three months planning this shoot, we had big plans of furniture rentals and a tables scape, golden hour photos and SUNSHINE. Well, we forgot for a second we lived in Seattle...and Seattle decided to do what she does best and pour rain. Not just a little bit of rain...a lot of rain. So we cancelled the rentals, changes our theme a bit and stuck it out. Our models, Arlene and Jory, were seriously such troopers. Between keeping the dress clean, and keeping Arlene's hair and make up perfect it was a lot of work for her!

We arrived at Discovery Park in Seattle. I wanted big open field and golden lighting. We quickly realized we could barely even get out of the car because of the pouring rain. After waiting the rain for a bit, we headed out to try and salvage as much of the shoot as we could. We had rented a Tux, got a dress, had a bouquet, so I was determined to make something work. Luckily Discovery Park has these big beautiful abandoned buildings. They looked like they were from the south somewhere. Our shoot quickly turned from a golden hour to a Southern belle in the rain!

It wasn't the shoot I had in mind at all, but we made it work and I am beyond happy with how it all turned out. I think it is a good shoot to be able to refer my brides back to who are worried about rain on their wedding day! Lets be honest, thats more likely to occur here than not, and we made it work and still got a stunning product!
